How does the test work?

Take a water sample using the syringe and follow the step-by-step procedure indicated on the enclosed leaflet. After collecting the water sample on the first day, a period of incubation follows by using the included mini-lab. After the incubation time, view the presence or not of pathogenic bacteria.

At the end of this incubation time, you can interpret the result:

  • No staining, the test is negative.
  • A yellow coloration, the test is positive

How long does it take to see the results?

The reliability of the results of the Coliforms Water Test (includingE. coli) is based on the incubation of the bacteria at a constant and homogeneous temperature for 24h in the incubator provided in the Mini-Lab. This is the minimum time necessary to reveal the presence of pathogenic bacteria. This is the same technique as the one used in laboratories.

If the result is positive, it indicates a concentration of coliforms (including E. coli) greater than or equal to 1 CFU / mL (Colony Forming Units per millilitre of water) potentially dangerous to health.

International Delivery provided by:

I have not received my order what do I do?

If you have not received your goods after 14 working days, then please contact us and we will chase your delivery. The quickest way is to contact the team by email (quoting your order number and contact details) or call us on +44 (0) 1933 664746 (Monday to Friday 9am – 5.00pm). It is out of our control if delivery gets delayed due to postal strikes or natural disasters, however we will do our best to help solve any problems with lost items.
